VICTORIA NIEUWENHUYS
Hello! I’m the founder of Bishop English Academy, named after Cropwell Bishop, the village in the Nottinghamshire countryside where I grew up — known for its famous Stilton cheese!
I’ve been teaching English for over 20 years, helping students prepare for exams like TOEIC, IELTS and Cambridge, and teaching Business, Academic, and General English.
I’ve worked with learners from all over the world, but for the past six years, I’ve focused on French-speaking students online. That experience has given me real insight into the challenges French learners face — and what keeps them engaged and progressing.
My lessons are interactive, supportive, and designed to be both enjoyable and effective. Learning works best when it’s fun, focused, and built around real communication.

CAMILLA SHEAVES
I never imagined whilst I was studying English at university that I would one day become an English language teacher. Although I have always been interested in languages, it was a love for travel and cultures that kicked off my career.
I began teaching in 2018 as a way to see the world and fell in love with the creativity and diversity of the job. I have taught students of all ages, levels, interests and backgrounds. I feel that every age and every level has its joys and challenges. . I have had experience teaching IELTS, Trinity, and TOEIC exams. For me it’s learning about my students and adapting to their needs that makes this job incredible
My life is always one big adventure! i love to explore and spend most of my spare time outside. I have been living in different countries and learning different languages since I was 4 years old. When I was 10 I moved to France and studied in a French school until.my Brevet. I find these experiences help me understand the challenges my student are going through.
I look forward to getting to know each student and always end up having some wonderful conversations.
